Welcome to the Knee on Belly podcast, hosted by Nate, Jon and Brandon! We cover all things Mixed Martial Arts and then some. Our typical episodes can cover topics such as recent UFC events, current news in the MMA scene, BJJ, Boxing or even the occasional marvel movie that just came out. We are excited to share our passion of MMA with others out there interested in gaining some different perspectives from a few guys who like to talk, laugh and argue about all sorts of different topics. This week the UFC is back! This time we preview the coming fight night headlined by Sean Strickland vs Jack Hermansson. Brandon hits us with a very interesting "Facts, Don't Care About Your Feelings" that has set us up for a possible part 2! We play a new game we're calling "Who Said It?", where we guess which fighters said which quotes. In the news we discuss Dana White's explanation for snubbing Francis in the ring. Huge weekend, lets get into it!! This week we recap UFC 270, with amazing fights between Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane and Brandon Moreno vs Deiveson Figueiredo. Now that we know the outcome we discuss what implications the victory will be for Francis! Not to be outdone the amazing nail bitter between Moreno and Figueiredo that we struggle to judge ourselves! We also play one of our favorite games, Cap Or Tap. Finishing off with the news we let you all know the newest fight announcements for the newly announced London card and more! Here we go again! This week we recap an amazing performance from Calvin Kattar. Next we give you our picks and prediction for the first PPV of the year with UFC 270, headlined by Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane! That card will also include a trilogy fight for the Flyweight title with Brandon Moreno facing off with Deiveson Figueiredo. Then we have discussion about what will happen with Francis after his title fight, when his contract being up and him wanting more money and opportunities to venture into boxing possibly looming! We have fun with a new game called "Sleep, Bury, Lose" where we have to decide the outcomes of 3 challengers to a fighter. For our final episode of the year we present to you our first ever Knee On Belly MMA Awards. We pick winners for male and female fighter of the year, fight of the year, rookie of the year, coach of the year, and more! Another week and another Zoom episode. Please excuse our quality again as we still have no resolution on our mixer. The good thing is we aren't short on good conversation. This week we recap the final UFC Fight Night of the year as Derrick Lewis KO'd Chris Daukaus in the main event. We also give our thoughts on Jake Paul's vicious KO over Tyron Woodley. We also continue our all time MMA teams and this weeks country is Canada. Finally we finish off with some news and happenings in the world of MMA. What a week it's been for us. As many know our mixer has malfunctioned and will not turn on. We had to resort to recording this week's podcast on our computers through Zoom so forgive us for the quality. None the less we are extremely excited to break down the full UFC 269 card and set up the final UFC Fight Night of the year headlined by Derrick Lewis vs. Chris Daukaus. Also Brandon has another Facts Don't Care About Your Feeling's asking if Conor Mcgregor is just not the fighter we thought he was. Plus we hit you with all the news in MMA from this past week.
